We have not seen such a great female lineup for a long time: Margot Robbie, Nicole Kidman, and Charlize Theron play victims of harassment by Fox News head Roger Isles in the new Bombshell revealing movie. On August 21, Lionsgate presented a teaser, and the film itself will be released on December 20, 2019.
The film tells a real story. The scandal occurred in 2016: several employees accused Fox News media mogul and CEO Roger Isles, former media consultant George W. Bush, of sexual harassment. The case began with former TV presenter Gretchen Carlson (played by Nicole Kidman), who admitted that she was fired from the channel after she refused Roger Isles. Later, several more women joined her (they are played, including by Margot Robbie and Charlize Theron). After the scandal, 76-year-old Isles left his post, and in 2017 he died.
