An awkward and clumsy 10-year-old German boy who has lost his father is trying to find his place in a strange world. Peers only make fun of him, and the mother believes that he comes up with problems with the child. In the hope of getting a replacement for his missing father, the boy comes up with an imaginary friend - Adolf Hitler, who does not at all look like the Fuhrer of the Third Reich, familiar to everyone. The situation only gets worse when the boy discovers that his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in the house.
