The backstory of the science fiction film "Ad Astra" tells the story of a scientist named Clifford McBride, who conducts complex scientific experiments. His research is not only essential but also dangerous. Some believe that they can threaten human civilization. But one day, Clifford disappears. It is as if it goes, leaving nothing behind.
It takes many years. At the center of the story is Roy McBride, son of Clifford. He becomes an engineer in the army corps and therefore gains access to the most advanced technologies that allow plowing vast space territories.
Roy sets out on a journey along the outer borders of the solar system, hoping to find the missing parent. He has little useful information, so he does not know what awaits him. Roy only knows that his father went in search of extraterrestrial intelligence two decades ago. But he does not even realize that he will have to reveal a secret that threatens humanity. And his journey will reveal secrets that can challenge a man's place in space.
