A nanny hires a young girl to a wealthy man with whom two nephews live. After moving to a luxurious mansion, the heroine finds out that the previous baby sitter spent her last days in this house. Also here, her lover, a member of the staff of servants, died. The new nanny is alarmed by this news, but she begins to work. Soon the girl will regret her decision - if the predecessor passed away, this does not mean that she left the mansion.
Horror film The Turn is a film adaptation of the mystical novel by G. James The Turn of the Screw, released at the end of the 19th century. Plans for a drama were announced back in March 2016. Initially, the production wanted to be led by Stephen Spielberg, who sought to plunge into the horror project again. However, the great cinematographer of our day already has enough paintings that need his experience and creativity.
The direction of the tape conditionally divided into two parts. Initially, the mystical film directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, and the drama was called Haunted. After a year and a half (at the end of the summer of 2017), the director's chair was taken by Floria Sigismondi, which led to significant changes at the production stage. Of course, the script survived most of the transformations. Nevertheless, after six months, shooting began in Ireland.
